The Board of Education - Elected Officials

The Board of Education specifies school policies, formulates budget, and appoints the Superintendent of public schools. 9 members are elected to terms of three years. The School Board is autonomous/separate from the City. The 2 entities have different and totally different budgets. The City of Englewood collects the taxes, but the Board of Education gets the lion's share of the monies collected.
