Article IV City Council (Elected Officials) 4 year term

Section 4.I

Council as governing body; powers. The city council shall be the governing body ofthe city. All powers of the municipality and the determination of all matters of policy shall be vested in the council, except as otherwise provided by the charter or by general law.

Section 4.2

Members of council. The council shall consist of five council members, with one elected from the city at-large and one elected from each of four wards.

Section 4.3

Council members; Election; term. Council members shall be elected at the general election to be held in November, or at such other time as may be provided by general law for the holding of general elections, each for a term of three years to begin on the first day of January next following election.
