Historic Preservation Advisory Committee - Members are appointed by the Mayor

The Historic Preservation Advisory Committee advises property owners wanting to restore the historical integrity of their homes. Seven members and two alternates are appointed by the Council. Terms of office are four years.

********Please note that the purpose of this Advisory Committee in no way satisfies the need for an Historic Preservation Commission which is established by NJ statute and deals  predominately with Land Use and not individual homeowners and their properties. Instead it  works more closely with the Board of Adjustment, the Planning Board and ideally, the Environmental Commission.
