Meet Bill Feinsten

William Feinstein          FOR ENGLEWOOD BOARD OF EDUCATION
Bill Feinsten attending
the NAACP Freedom Fund Gala
I was raised in Englewood. After attending the Englewood Public Schools, I graduated from Dwight Morrow High School then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson and Wales University. I am currently a Human Resource professional in the hospitality industry.
I have served on a number of boards and committees in the City of Englewood, including the Board of Adjustment, Rent Leveling Board and the 1999 Englewood Centennial Committee.
I am running for the Englewood School Board to ensure that we are moving the district forward with the positive changes that have been made over the last year. We must ensure that we support our teachers and administrators with the innovative tools needed to provide every child the best educational experience.
We can compete if our goals and objectives are focused on providing every child a quality education that prepares them for success. Let’s continue to hold every person within our school district accountable for achieving these goals and objectives. This includes school board members, superintendent, administrators and teachers. Only then can we restore confidence in our district. I encourage parents and the community to participate in making the Englewood School District great again.

Nellie Katherine Morrow Parker
"..Nellie Morrow was born in Hackensack, NJ on August 27, 1902. When Nellie came of school age she was required to attend a predominantly black elementary school outside of her neighborhood due to segregation. Her father fought for and obtained the right for his children to attend school in their own district. Nellie and her brothers were often ridiculed and threatened as they walked to and from school, making their childhood uneasy. Nellie entered Montclair Normal School and received her teaching certificate in 1922 after graduating from Hackensack High School.
Nellie Morrow’s goal had always been to become a teacher in Hackensack. In spite of community and Board of Education members’ outrage over the hiring of an African-American school teacher. Nellie was supported by school superintendent Dr. Stark, who had given her a practice teaching position during her senior year in college, and finally a teaching contract once she graduated.
The Morrow family was often tormented and isolated over the next three years. They received hate mail and negative press commentaries, and the Ku Klux Klan staged an angry night parade.
Through all of this, Nellie Morrow never wavered in her desire to teach. For many years, it was suggested to Nellie that she should relocate and teach at a southern school for the betterment of her career. Nellie replied, “It’s too bad if one little colored girl can be such a bother to you.”
Nellie remained in the Hackensack school system for 42 years. Even after she married William Parker in 1928, she continued to teach. During this entire time span, she moved only once from First Street School to the Beech Street School. Her entire career was dedicated to creating a loving classroom atmosphere and instilling a sense of pride in all her students..."
In 1981, the Hackensack Board of Education renamed the Maple Hill School, The Nellie K. Parker Elementary School in her honor." http://www.d837868.com/nkp/child_pages/about/nkp_main.htm

Evil Loophole Genius

Americans!
Did you know that you have been paying Donald Trump's taxes for years?

Think on it.

Donald Trump did not pay taxes on $916 million dollars.
We, the People have been paying through the nose.
We have been paying his taxes.
That was 21 years ago. Exception no longer valid.
How many years did he use this ingenuity while my house was advertised for tax sale if I did not pay by November 12th of every year.
Governor Christie called him a genius.
Well big guy.
I agree with you on this one.
He is an Evil Loop hole genius.
Gargomel for President. Careful of the sharp teeth.
If everyone cheated and manipulated this so called "rigged system"
like this Evil Genius, it would destroy the country.
Is this what he means, by make the Country great again?
Great again for whom?
He is the wealthiest "welfare recipient" in the history of the world.
Trump supporters,
We, the people have paid his taxes for his entire working life.
How much more will we pay for him as President?
Are we sure that he should not be called "King Donald:"?
Do I really want to know that I have paid this man's taxes?
Workers across the country making 10 bucks an hour
and he is against raising the minimum wage.
Wake up Trumpettes, and Trumpeteers!
Reality check coming.
A homeless person may be jailed for sending a child to a school system to give them a better chance at prosperity. Jailed for stealing education from a system in which she did not live.
HOMELESS people do not have an address.
How many people can you feed with $916 million dollars?
